Swaziland as a member of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) and party to the SADC Free Trade Area (FTA) has seen the need promote exports to the SADC market which creates regional market worth US$360 billion with a combined population of over 240 million. The region further includes dynamic economies with a high growth rate of over 7% annually such as Angola, Mozambique and Malawi to mention a few.
The Swaziland Investment Promotion Authority (SIPA) with funding under the SADC Trade Related Facility has identified regional trade shows as one of the activities that can be used to promote our exports to the SADC region in order to enhance SADC Intra-trade. One of such trade fairs is the Global Expo Botswana (GEB) which will be from 30th October to 2nd November 2018 in Gaborone, Botswana.

· GEB is Botswana’s premier international business to business event featuring an exhibition, trade and investment conferences and training on exporting, B2B networking,
· Attracts 200 multi-sectoral exhibitors from Botswana and across the globe covering sectors including agriculture, textiles and apparel, tourism, handcraft, leather ICT, construction materials, timber and furniture,
· Attracts about over 5000 professional visitors ranging from importers, wholesale traders, agents, distributors, international buyers and supply chain managers. It creates opportunities for meeting buyers & sellers in SADC region and building partnerships.
Invitation to Export Ready companies
Export ready local companies are therefore invited to register for selection to exhibit and promote their products at this fair. The funding will cater for all stand rental fees, shipment of display samples and daily subsistence allowance (covering accommodation and meals) only.
Note: All selected companies will be required to cater for their own costs of transport and other incidentals.
